Location: Ipswich


Contract: Full-time, term time only


Salary: £42,000

About Us

Welcome to Redstone Hall School, a vibrant new educational environment in Ipswich! We cater to up to 30 pupils aged 5 to 18 with a range of complex needs. Our mission is to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where every child feels valued, respected, and empowered. Your Role

As our SENCO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students. Your responsibilities will include:



* Developing and implementing the strategic SEN policy and provision.


* Designing targeted interventions to bridge attainment gaps.


* Assessing and monitoring pupil progress in line with their EHCPs.


* Leading annual reviews and acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.


* Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support individual learning plans.


* Coordinating effective teaching programs and behavior management strategies.


* Overseeing intervention groups and evaluating their effectiveness.


* Promoting inclusion and access to the curriculum and extracurricular activities.


* Teaching commitment (50/50) with secondary teaching experience, preferably in Science.




What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:



* Qualified Teacher Status.


* National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to pursue the new NPQ for SENCOs.


* Experience in school self-evaluation and development planning.


* A background in teaching within an autism/SEMH school.


* Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Conduct.


* A commitment to ongoing professional development.
