Overview
A Facilities Assistant is required to support the day-to-day operation of a busy innovation and office environment. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, secure, compliant, and high-quality workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors. This is a hands-on position within a Facilities team and requires flexibility to meet operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Facilities team in maintaining a clean, tidy, safe, and well-run building
2. Assist with the delivery of facilities services, on-site maintenance, and general building support
3. Carry out basic in-house maintenance tasks and minor DIY repairs
4. Receive, log, and distribute deliveries to relevant internal stakeholders
5. Support and monitor contractors during on-site works
6. Ensure work areas remain compliant with health and safety requirements at all times
7. Assist with internal office moves and workspace reconfigurations
8. Provide guidance to staff on workstation and desk setup, training provided
9. Carry out porter duties including meeting room and communal space setup and reinstatement
