Brief Description
Identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities
1. Identify and implement initiatives to improve asset performance, reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
2. Identify problem locations and/or processes within the routes and delivery units, develop and implement action plans to resolve such issues in coordination with the delivery units.
3. Support the delivery units in the effective implementation of improvement programmes, projects, and initiatives.
4. Support and implement Six Sigma processes and techniques to routes and delivery units.
5. Prepare business cases for improvement initiatives supported by robust analysis.
6. Produce and implement plans for improvement initiatives, including training, briefing, and support documentation.
7. Measure and report on the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
8. Identify and share areas of best practice within the delivery units to improve business performance consistently.
Job Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Essential
* Experience in maintenance management, processes, and techniques.
* Knowledge of safety and compliance management processes.
* Detailed knowledge of an engineering discipline.
* Detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures.
* Knowledge of operational railway environment.
* IRSE Licence holder (Signalling only).
* Experience with Local Accident & Incident Investigation.
* Good interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organisational skills.
Desirable
* Incorporated Engineer.
* Membership of a professional body.
