Overview An exciting Long Term opportunity is available for a Teaching Assistant within the Secondary sector in Durham. Our client school, a small independent school in County Durham are looking for an additional member of staff to work with a student on a 1:1 basis with a student in Year 8. The student has an EHCP and requires support from an adult. He is a well-natured, intelligent student who needs a calm, supporting and caring adult by his side. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality learning experiences aligned with the school's curriculum and expectations. Build positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal development within the Secondary setting. Maintain effective classroom management and a productive learning atmosphere. Follow all safeguarding and reporting protocols required by the school. Candidate Profile Relevant qualifications for a Teaching Assistant (e.g., QTS or equivalent). Strong communication and interpersonal skills suited to the Secondary sector.
