Your Role
and What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Analyst in our Costs team, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and supporting technical solutions that drive efficiency and enhance the quality of our service. You’ll work closely with Costs Managers and the wider Costs team to improve processes and case management through automation and digital tools.
Your primary focus will be on:
1. Leading the development and management of workload systems, reporting tools, and automated processes to support the Costs team’s objectives.
2. Designing and building solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI) to streamline operations and improve user experience.
3. Providing technical oversight for any development work undertaken within the Costs team, ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and aligned with business needs.
4. Supporting and mentoring colleagues in the use of new technologies and best practices.
5. Working collaboratively with the analytics and insights teams to ensure the tools and solutions you create enable better data capture and quality, supporting their reporting and insight generation.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
6. Has current or previous experience specifically in Costs processes.
7. Has proven experience with Power Apps and Power Automate to deliver business solutions.
8. Is familiar with Power BI, particularly for management information and reporting.
9. Possesses strong Excel skills and a good working knowledge of other Office 365 programmes.
10. Has experience with SharePoint development and understands its integration with Power Platform solutions.
11. Demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to IT development.
12. Is an excellent communicator, able to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
VBA Experience
While the Costs team relies increasingly on Power Platform solutions, some legacy processes may still use Excel VBA. Experience with VBA is beneficial, particularly for supporting or migrating existing macros to Power Platform solutions. However, the primary focus of this role is on Power Platform development. VBA experience may be especially relevant for internal candidates transitioning from a VBA-heavy background.
