I am currently supporting a school in Middlesbrough who is seeking a reliable, proactive, and hands‑on School Caretaker to support a busy educational setting.
This is a full‑time temporary role, expected to last for approximately two months, with the potential for extension depending on school needs
Key Responsibilities
1. Opening and securing the school site daily
2. General maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the building and grounds
3. Ensuring classrooms, corridors, andmunal areas remain safe and tidy
4. Supporting with health & safety checks andpliance tasks
5. Liaising with staff, contractors, and external services
6. Responding to urgent maintenance issues as they arise
Requirements
7. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – essential
8. Previous experience in a caretaker, site supervisor, or facilities role is desirable
9. Strong practical skills and the ability to work independently
10. Goodmunication and organisational abilities
11. A positive, can‑do attitude andmitment to maintaining a safe school environment
