About the Role
This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position during term time only, with a salary range of £20,422 - £23,232.69. You will have the opportunity to work closely with pupils in KS2, KS3, and KS4, providing tailored support to help them thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of no more than six pupils.
* Assist the Classroom Teacher during lessons and contribute to lesson planning.
* Monitor and report on pupils' progress, liaising with school staff to meet their needs.
* Supervise pupils during non-classroom times, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
* Build positive relationships with pupils to drive engagement and positive learning outcomes.
* Adapt resources to suit the needs of young people.
What We’re Looking For
* A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics.
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
* Confidence to take on additional responsibilities in areas such as Food Hygiene, Forest School, or School Yoga.
* Experience in behavior management techniques.
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
