The Opportunity: Workshop Mechanic
Location: Gwynedd Forklifts, Oswestry Depot | Contract: Permanent | Salary: £28,000 - £34,000
Role overview and impact: The workshop mechanic will service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and related equipment, ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency of operations.
Responsibilities
* The service and maintenance of diesel, LPG and electrical materials handling equipment
* Fault finding, planned preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspections of forklift trucks
* Maintaining a clean and orderly working area, including common areas
* Adhering to health and safety guidelines and workshop rules
* Completing job cards and ordering required parts to complete tasks
What Will Help You To Excel In This Role
* Experience of working on cars, forklifts, plant equipment, cleaning machines, powered access, HGVs or similar; relevant technical qualification
* Previous experience within a workshop or field-based position
* Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principles
* Ability to work independently and under pressure
* Ability to manage and prioritise workload
