We know our people are what make HDC great and recognise the importance of a healthy work–life balance. We are looking for someone to work 18.5 hours per week and we are open to having a conversation around flexible working in line with service delivery.
About the role
The Parking Processing Support Officer role plays a key part in supporting our day-to-day service delivery following the introduction of Civil Parking Enforcement for on-street parking and our own car parks. The role is part time (18.5 hours weekly) with a working pattern that can be discussed across our normal working days.
* Provide support to customers regarding parking permits, responding to both calls and email correspondence.
* Review charge notice appeals, make decisions and support the Processing Manager on case progression.
* Carry out site checks from a safety perspective to ensure areas are free from issues (this will require the use of a council vehicle).
You should be able to demonstrate experience in a customer-focused setting with excellent attention to detail, as you will be required to accurately process information relating to offences. The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
