About The Role
Are you able to make a difference within your local community?
Our Canterbury College within East Kent Colleges Group is seeking to appoint a Plumbing Supply Lecturer to their approved staffing list. If you're looking for flexible working throughout the week and want to support students in a college environment, then this role will suit you.
We are a group of 6 colleges across East Kent (Ashford, Broadstairs, Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone, Sheppey), as well as apprentice and adult training units, so you can be considered for work in our other environments. This role could be a great step towards a career with us as a group.
As a Supply Lecturer You Will
* Teach, train, and assess students in this subject area.
* Ensure a high-quality learning experience.
* Provide support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential.
Please note that our Supply Lecturers are paid £18 per hour worked. If planning and admin are required, a further half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. The rate for 5 hours of teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin is therefore £135 per day.
Any addition to the approved staffing list is not a guarantee of employment or hours of work. Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are complete, you will be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work. If we have an opportunity that matches your skills, we will contact you to discuss it.
About You
You will be highly organized, creative, and able to plan and teach engaging lessons with strong interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress to plan interventions will be vital, ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.
You should be able to teach a range of programs from Level 1 to Level 3 and motivate learners to achieve their goals.
We welcome all applications against the job specification, even if you do not meet every criterion.
No need to update your CV; just click apply and complete our short application form. You can save your progress, and we will review all applications after the closing date.
