Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mortgage Broker role based in West Malling. The Mortgage Broker will advise clients on suitable mortgage and property finance products, gathering and assessing financial information, credit profiles, and affordability to recommend appropriate solutions. Daily responsibilities include managing a pipeline of applications from initial enquiry through to completion, liaising with lenders, underwriters, valuers, and solicitors to progress cases efficiently. The role involves explaining complex mortgage structures in clear, accessible terms, preparing documentation, and ensuring all advice and recommendations comply with regulatory and internal policies. The Mortgage Broker will also nurture existing relationships, follow up on enquiries, and contribute to business development activities in collaboration with the wider team.
Qualifications
* Strong expertise as a Mortgage Broker, with proven experience advising on a range of residential and investment mortgage products.
* Knowledge of Brokerage and Finance, including lending criteria, affordability assessment, loan structures, and risk considerations.
* Experience with Mortgage Marketing and client relationship management, including building and maintaining a personal client portfolio.
* Ability to advise on Debt Consolidation within mortgage solutions, ensuring suitability and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Relevant industry qualifications (e.g., CeMAP or equivalent) or a clear pathway and willingness to obtain them within an agreed timeframe.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in documentation and case management.
* Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to clients of varying experience levels.
* Comfort working in a target-driven environment while maintaining high ethical standards and a client-first approach.
* Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software, and willingness to learn internal platforms and processes.
* Previous experience in property finance, banking, or financial services is highly beneficial.
