The Position: We're looking for a GDPR and Data Protection Administrator

Are you someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and people? Do you take pride in accuracy, organisation, and support others to get the best out of digital tools? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

About You:

* Experience in data protection compliance or related field
* Understanding of GDPR
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities for the role:

Administration support

* To provide support in the management of data subject access requests (SARs). This will include document searches and information gathering, scanning and redacting of documents.
* To maintain the log of data breaches and near misses, and support in the implementation of remedial recommendations and actions.
* Support the investigation and reporting of data breaches, liaising with the Information Commissioner's Office where appropriate.
* To maintain other relevant logs including data requests, data protection impact assessments and third-party data sharing agreements .
* Help record the statistics of the number of data protection requests including
* Support the Data Protection Officer in the management of data protection impact assessment procedures and the review of data sharing agreements.
* Assist with projects where data protection involvement is required.
* Provide general administration support for the data protection officer, including minuting the Information Governance Group and Data Protection Co-ordinators Group meetings.

Compliance

* Support the data protection officer with training and support for all data protection and GDPR matters throughout the learning group.
* Support teams to understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Keep up to date with changes in data protection law and regulations.
* Be responsible for own learning and development to ensure that the Data Protection Policy, procedures and good practice adopted by the College are understood and followed at all times.
* Be responsible for own good practice and due diligence when processing any personal information.
* Be responsible for reporting all suspected or actual data breaches to the Data Protection Officer as soon as possible after a breach or risk has been identified.
* Be responsible for referring all subject access requests to the Data Protection Officer.

The Location: The site is based at Nuneaton
