Reference: e45ce709 We are looking to recruit a caring and friendly Personal Care Assistant to support a retired lady in her own home. Experience supporting people with Dementia would be desirable. The role involves supporting this lady with daily living tasks including helping her to get washed and dressed, providing her breakfast and a drink, and leaving a prepared snack for lunchtime. Make the bed and put bedding in to wash when required. In the afternoon, provide a hot meal at teatime using a microwave or Air fryer; then wash dishes, prompt medication and put a clean set of bedding as and when required. This lady has a supportive family around her, and all she needs currently is a little additional support to complement them. Hours 1 x 30-minute call at 10:00am every Tuesday. 1 x 30-minute call at 6:00pm every Tuesday. We would also need the successful applicant to cover the existing Support Worker’s holidays and unplanned absence and this can be further discussed at interview. Rate of pay: £14.67 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year - pro-rata. Benefit access to ILG PA, which will be explained at the interview. Person Specification The successful applicants must: · Have a genuine interest in caring and supporting people in their own home · Be respectful and have a happy, positive and caring nature. · Be punctual, reliable, and flexible. · Respect confidentiality. · Always ensure the safety of the client when you are present in their home. The successful candidate will require an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS), cost to be met by employer.
