Job Description


In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to utilise and enhance your strong problem-solving and engineering skills within modelling and analysis of complex systems using high-level software languages such as MATLAB, Simulink and Python.

Your understanding of engineering fundamentals and physical principles will be tested as you tackle broad challenges relating to mathematics, physics and engineering and development of technologically advanced and exciting proof-of-concept models in the context of Electronic Warfare.

Qualifications


You will bring in-depth experience in one or more of these areas:

* Developing and/or modelling and simulation for Radar and Electronic Warfare
* Developing advanced models of systems and the interactions between them
* System architecture, signal processing algorithm development and validation
* Simulation test bench development
* Hardware-in-the-loop development of Electronic Warfare or Radar systems
* Working with a variety of Radar or Electronic Warfare systems

…and desirable experience in one or more of the following areas:

* DSP fundamentals e.g. sampling, DFT/FFT, correlation/convolution, and filtering
* Simulation validation through real-world measurements and/or field trials
* Broad awareness of key RF system topics (this could include environmental modelling, antennas and front-end, waveforms, receiver processing, PNT, high power RF/DEW), with in-depth knowledge in one or more of these areas
* RF front-end architecture development
* High-speed/real-time DSP e.g. FPGA
