Are you passionate about community engagement and helping others? Do you want a rewarding role where you can make a real impact and be part of something special?

If you answered yes, then join us at The Wise Group and make a difference across Greater Manchester, Liverpool, and Cumbria!

We are expanding our Home Energy Advice Team (HEAT) services and are looking for dedicated individuals to join us.

At The Wise Group, we are launching a major campaign to support households at risk of or experiencing fuel poverty. Our purpose is to make a real difference by helping tens of thousands of people escape poverty, with a strong focus on tackling fuel poverty. We provide practical support, guidance, and energy-saving tips to help families cut their energy bills, improve their homes, and achieve financial stability.

Our Mission:

Warmer homes, healthier lives, and brighter futures. By breaking down barriers for those who need it most, we’re creating lasting change.

Energy Mentors provide advocacy and support to vulnerable households regarding their home energy. This is done through the provision of independent, bespoke advice and information to ensure that energy issues are resolved effectively.

What You’ll Do:

* Work with householders to optimise their relationship with fuel consumption and efficiency over time, reducing fuel poverty and helping people live comfortably in a warm home.
* Deliver essential support remotely via phone, email, video, or online chat.
* Provide in-home, face-to-face support where required.
* Participate in community-based outreach work to raise awareness of the HEAT service and identify vulnerable households who could benefit from our support in Greater Manchester, Liverpool or Cumbria.

Why Join Us?

* Be part of something incredible – make a real, lasting difference in your community.
* Work for an organisation that values and supports its colleagues with fantastic benefits.
* Gain valuable experience in a role that’s as rewarding as it is impactful.

This 6-month contract is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience and build your CV in a supportive, purpose-driven and fast paced environment. Whether you're just finishing education or exploring a career change, you’ll develop key transferable skills such as communication, advocacy, teamwork, and community engagement. You'll also gain hands-on experience in the energy and sustainability sector.

We are committed to giving you a great experience where you will learn new skills and gain invaluable experience in order to progress in your career. We’re keen to learn from you and to give you a great experience during your time here. We’ll also work with you and give support to help find your next move after the 6 month contract ends.

By the end of the contract, you'll have made a tangible impact on people’s lives while gaining the experience and confidence to take your next career step.

What We’re Looking For:

* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, with the confidence to present and engage with diverse audiences.
* A self-starter who’s comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency with Microsoft programs, such as Excel and Outlook.
* A driving licence and access to a car is preferred due to the nature of the role.

Joining Us:

We will be holding skills and experience days along with interviews and have roles beginning throughout July and August 2025. You will go through a comprehensive onboarding and training programme, making sure you have all the necessary tools to succeed and be a part of the Wise Group community.
