Join Nexus Multi Academy Trust as a Bank Teaching Assistant! We have a variety of flexible supply assignments across Nottingham and surrounding areas, supporting learners from nursery to post-16 in both SEND and mainstream settings.
As a Bank Teaching Assistant, you’ll work on a day-to-day, part-time, or full-time basis with potential for long-term or permanent roles. This role offers flexibility to manage your own schedule while gaining experience across different schools and age groups.
Key Responsibilities
* Support teaching and learning activities in classrooms and outdoor settings under the guidance of a qualified teacher.
* Provide one-to-one support, small group assistance, and supervision during lunch and break times.
* Help children access learning and support their safety and wellbeing.
Requirements / Qualifications
* A passion for working with children with special educational needs.
* Resilience, patience, empathy, and creativity.
* Experience supporting children (ideal but not essential).
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of SEN is advantageous; ability to respond to emotional, social, and mental health needs of students.
* May be required to provide personal care where necessary to ensure support for each child.
