We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our team as a Process Technician, where you will play a vital role in delivering this essential service.
We are looking to recruit six Development Wastewater Process Technicians to work within our Wastewater Treatment team. Full training will be provided to support the successful candidate to undertake the various technical aspects of this role. You’ll join the team that is responsible for operating and maintaining our Wastewater service to customers in various locations across the Northumbrian region. This team will focus on investigating and managing wastewater assets flow, performance and compliance, as well as supporting a number of capital schemes to replace key instrumentation. This role will include raising awareness of flow compliance and establishing a heightened level of competence across the team, embedding best practice and coaching the wider team.
Working as part of a team you will be responsible for maintaining asset performance against key parameters. You would utilise data and business intelligence systems to carry out desktop investigations followed by onsite checks to verify data quality, whilst detailing findings in written reports throughout. The reports will identify and support the delivery of capital interventions and improvements. Investigations may involve out of hours working in line with rainfall patterns to help verify actual performance. Full training will be provided to undertake the various technical aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain wastewater assets to meet performance targets and compliance requirements.
* Analyse performance data and effluent quality; interpret data to resolve issues and optimise plant, assets and processes.
* Conduct desktop investigations and onsite checks, documenting findings and supporting capital interventions.
* Support capital schemes, instrumentation replacement, and commissioning activities with cross-team collaboration.
* Raise awareness of flow compliance and contribute to developing team capabilities and best practices.
* Be prepared for out-of-hours investigations in line with rainfall patterns.
* Produce clear written reports detailing investigations, findings, and recommendations.
About You / Qualifications
* Good mix of technical and interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
* Confident in interrogating and interpreting data; able to solve problems and implement improvements.
* Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision; adaptable to a varied workload.
* Willingness to learn and development-focused; strong initiative and willingness to engage with capital delivery procedures.
* Full driving licence is essential.
