Adept are recruiting on behalf of a serious engineering business based in Middlesbrough.
This isn't light machining.
This is high precision work on centrifugally cast components supplying Aerospace, Defence, Energy and Chemical sectors.
If you're a proper time served CNC machinist who can set and run machines to tight tolerances, this is worth your attention.
The Role
You will be:
* Setting and operating CNC Turning and/or Milling machines
* Programming jaws, fixtures and small batch runs
* Proving out first-off components alongside Production Engineering
* Running batch work to SOPs and routing instructions
* Machining alloy steels, nickel-based alloys, super alloys, stainless and duplex materials
* Carrying out in-process inspection and first-off checks
* Reading engineering drawings (metric & imperial)
* Working closely with Production, Engineering, Inspection and Maintenance
This is skilled machining. Not button pushing.
What They're Looking For
* Time-served CNC Machinist (or equivalent qualification)
* Strong experience in CNC Turning and/or Milling
* Confident interpreting engineering drawings
* Good understanding of inspection processes
* Positive, reliable and quality-driven
* Comfortable working shift patterns

Package
* Circa £46,000 (including 25% shift allowance)
* Moving to a 3-shift structure
* Overtime available:
o Time + ? (first 2 hours)
o Time + (after 2 hours)
o Double time Sundays
