Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our small 15 bed care home. The ideal candidate will have experience as a deputy manager who is looking for their first managers experience. The Home Manager will be responsible for ensuring that residents receive personalised care plans tailored to their individual needs, including those with mental health.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
* Supervise and support staff members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
* Manage medication administration processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
* Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for residents
* Conduct regular assessments of resident health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary.
* Maintain effective communication with residents' families regarding their loved ones' care and progress.
* Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the home environment, addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in leadership role
* level 5 leadership and management or willingness to complete
* Strong background in nursing or healthcare-related fields is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated experience in developing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
* Excellent leadership skills with a track record of supervising and managing teams effectively.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on empathy and compassion towards residents and their families.
