Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong technical aptitude and proven experience in managing project delivery across multiple disciplines. Experience in personal ground transport, such as bus or coach transport, is preferred but not essential.
The role involves overseeing the delivery of various applications to meet business needs, developing roadmaps for application architecture, including managing the lifecycle of applications and updating skillsets as needed.
Responsibilities include planning internal and external resources for requirements gathering, data migration, and operational migration to new systems, as well as setting up and mobilizing the Project Office to ensure proper governance.
The successful candidate will be an active member of the IT Leadership Team, reporting to the CIO, providing insight and support to develop and implement ongoing IT strategies, and ensuring IT services are efficient and effective.
Main Responsibilities
1. Creation and management of PMO
2. Identify suitable project management frameworks to ensure governance and reporting requirements are met
3. Recruitment and management of staff, both permanent and contract
4. Manage one or more software and infrastructure projects
5. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables
6. Plan and implement IT projects with internal and external resources
7. Conduct supplier selection processes
8. Perform business analysis and create functional specifications
9. Manage software development and infrastructure changes with suppliers
10. Produce and maintain project documentation
11. Coordinate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage deliverables
12. Report on project progress to stakeholders
13. Manage risk assessment, mitigation, and management
Essential Criteria
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Visio
* Expertise in project management frameworks such as Prince2, Six Sigma, Scrum, or similar
* Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, including at 'C' level
* Supplier management experience
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently
* Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
* Mentoring and training experience is a plus

Hours of Work
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
