Role
Community Mental Health Nurse – Band 6 – Charge Nurse. You will work within an Adult Community Mental Health Team based in the Partick area, providing assessment, care planning, review and discharge of individual caseloads and leading junior team members. A live NMC UK pin, current NMC registration and a driving licence are essential.
Location, Contract and Hours
* Maryhill Health & Care Centre
* Permanent, part‑time (30 hours per week)
* Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, care plan, review and discharge individual cases within a defined clinical area.
* Act on referrals from GPs and other primary care workers.
* Manage a caseload, supervise other nursing grades and facilitate the appraisal process.
* Provide leadership and developmental function to nursing staff, implementing evidence‑based practice and continuous quality improvement.
* Maintain therapeutic relationships with service users, carers, relatives and other health and social care professionals in complex situations.
* Develop local protocols and contribute to clinical policy, procedures and guidelines.
* Manage clinical and environmental risk, including lone working safety issues.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered Mental Nurse (Level 1).
* Significant post‑registration nursing experience with relevant competences.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills.
