The Role
The post holder will in partnership with NHS24 assist to provide an efficient and effective clinical service for the people of Lanarkshire in the out of hours period when their own GP is not available. Ensure accurate and considered dispersal of patient information, which has been determined by medical staff is completed in line with the allotted timescales.

What we'll need you to bring
* SVQ level 3 or equivalent NHS experience preferably in an Out of Hours Service, or similar Call Centre ideally in an Emergency Service environment i.e. Ambulance/Police Service.
* Knowledge of a range of standard operating procedures and practices, as well as knowledge of software programme (Adastra) acquired through in -house training
* Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, initiative and be able to make decisions in a pressurised environment.
* Understanding of a range of work procedures which can often be non routine.
* A good geographical knowledge of Lanarkshire
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
* Previous NHS experience preferably within primary care
* Relevant experience in a customer/patient focused environment
* Working knowledge of database systems
* Knowledge/understanding of the Out of Hours service

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Primary Care Out Of Hours Department within Douglas St Community Health Clinic and on occasion Airdrie Community Health Centre.
The working pattern for this role Monday - Sunday, the hours would be worked over 4 days.
