We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Apprentice to join the Leisure team at Kelling Heath Health Club, set amongst 300 acres of woodland and rare open heathland within Kelling Heath Holiday Park – located on the North Norfolk coast between Holt and Sheringham.
This role will include learning the day-to-day operations of a busy leisure club. Whilst on shift, the successful candidate will fulfil a wide range of duties, including:
* Reception;
* Membership enquiries and tours;
* Lifeguarding;
* Cleaning;
* Assisting gym users;
* and ultimately ensuring our customers enjoy a clean and safe environment in which to relax and exercise.
This position will offer the opportunity for you to complete Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship which also includes the nationally recognised RLSS Lifeguard Qualification, Level 2 certificate in Fitness Instructing (gym), as well as Customer Care and Sales training. There may be an option, for candidates who meet the required criteria, to complete Leisure Duty Manager Level 3 as an alternative. English and Maths may need to be studied depending upon your current qualification attainment.
This role is offered for the duration of the apprenticeship (typically 12 – 16 months) and would suit someone who is wishing to enter the leisure industry and pursue and develop a career in a health club environment, while sharing our passion for providing great customer service.
A swimming assessment will need to be undertaken as part of the application process and therefore it is essential to be a competent swimmer in order to apply.
The hours will be 40 hours per week and will involve shift work over a seven-day shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and subject to a suitable vacancy arising, we can help you achieve other nationally recognised qualifications subject to personal interest and suitability in areas such as Gym-based Exercise and Fitness and / or Team Leadership and Leisure Management.
