Convenience Store Manager - Trowbridge / Wiltshire Area
About the role
* Tesco: Full time (36 hours)
* Contract: Permanent
* Shift Pattern: Varies from day to day but are planned in advance
Should you be successful in your application, your offer will be conditional upon providing your bank account details before your start date.
You will be responsible for:
1. Recruiting and training the best people for your team, developing their operational and leadership skills.
2. Coaching your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about store products, building the store's brand, and providing excellent customer service.
3. Leading your team to drive trade activity, grow sales, and maximize profit.
4. Building your managers' knowledge to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan, ensuring optimal resource planning and issue resolution.
5. Prioritizing safety by coaching the team to use all security tools and maintain a safe working environment.
You will need:
* Excellent communication skills to share knowledge and work collaboratively.
* A welcoming attitude, with a focus on customer service and relationship building.
* Energy and resilience to work effectively in challenging environments, with the ability to make quick decisions.
* Drive and commitment to exceed expectations and inspire confidence.
* Awareness of competitors' activities and a proactive approach to store improvement initiatives.
