Main duties of the job

* Be part of a service that is committed to continuous improvement, innovation, and professional excellence.

About the Role: The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for ADHD works with children and young people who have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. The role includes offering guidance and education to families and schools, developing early intervention strategies, and promoting best practice in ADHD care. You will also contribute to service development, provide training and supervision to colleagues, and take part in research and quality improvement activities.

Strong communication skills, advanced clinical judgment, and a compassionate approach are essential to help improve outcomes for children and young people living with ADHD.

In addition, you will:

* Manage a personal caseload from referral through to discharge, undertaking assessments and interventions, prescribing, and exercising a high degree of clinical autonomy.
* Contribute to multi-disciplinary team working, service development, and governance activities including research, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Provide consultation, advice, and liaison to colleagues and external agencies to promote coordinated, high-quality care.
