Personal Development Tutor (Term‑Time Only)

We are looking for a passionate Personal Development Tutor to join our Pastoral Team at Highfields Campus, supporting students to become ‘Future Ready'. The role is part‑time and available only during term time.
Salary: £29,390 to £33,602 per annum FTE (pro‑rated for part‑time, TTO)
Working hours: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Responsibilities
 * Develop and deliver an engaging tutorial programme for students studying Engineering, Electrical Installation and Motor Vehicles.
 * Facilitate sessions designed to develop personal characteristics, social skills and employability skills.
 * Support students of all backgrounds and abilities to broaden their experiences and take advantage of opportunities within the college and beyond.
 * Deliver group tutorials and meet with students on a 1‑to‑1 basis where appropriate, supporting attendance and liaising with parents/guardians.
 * Maintain accurate group records and use ICT tools for administration.
 * Take part in training and induction sessions and pursue ongoing professional development.
 * Ensure student experience is of the highest quality and promote modern British values within the pastoral setting.
Qualifications and Experience
 * GCSE A* – C in English and Maths, or equivalent.
 * Demonstrable experience in managing groups of students and good ICT and administrative skills.
 * Relevant teaching qualification preferred; willingness to work towards one is required.
 * Passion for pastoral care and the ability to signpost students to appropriate support mechanisms.
 * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to student support.
