BASIC SALARY: £30,000 £42,000 (depending on experience)

JOB DESCRIPTION: GRP Laminator / Composite Technician Fibreglass, Trimming, Repair
As our GRP Laminator / Composite Technician, you will work as part of our trim and finishing team, producing high-quality composite components for a variety of sectors. You will undertake GRP mould laminating, trimming, repairs, and finishing work. While carbon fibre repair experience is beneficial, full training will be provided however, fibreglass/GRP experience is essential .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
GRP laminating using hand lay-up methods
Trimming, cutting, drilling, and finishing composite components
Identifying and repairing defects in GRP and carbon fibre parts (training provided)
Working with moulds, patterns and technical drawings
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
Supporting the wider production team with composite-related tasks
PERSON SPECIFICATION GRP Laminator / Composite Technician
You must have hands-on experience in GRP fibreglass laminating. Backgrounds such as boat building, automotive composites, moulding, or general fibreglass production are all highly suitable.
Essential:
Proven experience in GRP laminating
Proficiency with hand lay-up techniques
Experience working with trimming, cutting or composite finishing tools
Ability to follow drawings, templates or moulding instructions
Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Desirable (training can be provided):
Carbon fibre repair
Wet lay
Composite repair techniques
Working with structural or cosmetic carbon fibre
