Job Description

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive sales, strategic account management, and effective leadership of the sales function with a key contribution to the hotel strategy. With a core focus on expanding market share and building long-lasting client relationships, this role ensures strong performance across negotiated accounts, group business, and in-house marketing & commercial initiatives.

This position requires a highly motivated, organised, and communicative leader who excels at both independent work and inspiring high performance in others.

TASKS/ MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

11. Drive proactive sales across corporate and group segments to grow revenue and market share
12. Identify, target and secure new business opportunities aligned with the hotel’s strategy
13. Build and develop strong client relationships through consistent engagement and structured account planning
14. Drive pricing strategy and commercial decision making alongside management
15. Provide strategic oversight of revenue management, ensuring strong pricing, clear value, new initiatives and maximum revenue delivery
16. Own performance marketing across OTA and GDS channels, including campaign and content direction
17. Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, client meetings and show rounds to strengthen visibility
18. Ensure timely and professional handling of enquiries, proposals, contracts and follow-up
19. Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns that drive demand and brand awareness
20. Contribute to digital and social media activity to support sales initiatives
21. Support fam trips, client events and hosting opportunities to promote the hotel
22. Lead, motivate and develop the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
23. Support the team by providing holiday cover, ensuring smooth operations and uninterrupted client relationships
24. Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and ongoing development of team capabilities
25. Conduct regular sales meetings, coaching sessions and performance reviews
26. Lead RFP and RFI processes, ensuring timely and competitive submissions
27. Manage corporate contracts including negotiation, rate loading and annual recontracting
28. Maintain structured account development with clear action plans, KPIs and regular client engagement
29. Deliver against account growth targets and client engagement objectives
30. Collaborate with Operations to ensure smooth delivery of group and event business
31. Monitor market trends and competitor activity and share insights with management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

32. High degree of organization and advanced planning & follow-up skills
33. Ability to collaborate with diverse subsets of individuals, cultures and seniority levels
34. Capacity to establish relationships and create conditions necessary for mutually co-operative efforts
35. Work in autonomy

41. Fluent English

Qualifications
42. Minimum 1 year experience in hotel active sales experience
43. People management experience
