Job Title: Healthcare Apprentice (Nursing)
Location: Nuffield Health York Hospital
Type: Permanent Full Time (including nights and weekends)
Salary: £25,048 plus enhancements
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Role Overview
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our busy Elective Surgical Ward, providing high‑quality patient care and supporting colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Support surgical nursing team on the elective surgical ward, ensuring patient safety and quality care.
* Apply clinical knowledge and learning from apprenticeship programme to deliver competent nursing care.
* Maintain excellent communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team.
* Adhere to nursing best practices and infection control protocols.
* Participate in training and professional development throughout apprenticeship.
Qualifications & Experience
* Background in nursing or healthcare (level 2/3 preferred, otherwise eligible for apprentice programme).
* Energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and apply new ideas.
* Strong teamwork, communication skills, and commitment to high standards.
* Ready to engage in a high‑performing organisation.
