I'm excited to share a brand‑new permanent opportunity with a leading manufacturing business based in Port Talbot. This isn't your standard AP role — the team is evolving, the work is varied, and there are plenty of interesting quirks to keep you engaged. You'll be supporting the day‑to‑day running of the Purchase Ledger within a friendly finance team of four, reporting to the Financial Controller. Expect a mix of intepany work, investigative invoice processing, and cross‑department collaboration — far more than simple match‑and‑batch.Key responsibilities include:
1. Handling a high volume of purchase invoices across several grouppanies
2. Matching iing invoices to corresponding purchase orders
3. Allocating invoices to the correct nominal ledger codes
4. Sending invoices to budget holders for review and approval
5. Reconciling supplier statements against creditor accounts
6. Preparing payment runs and proposals for sign‑off
7. Processing payments via BACS
8. Managing supplier queries and maintaining clearmunication around payments
9. Issuing remittances and coordinating with suppliers as needed
10. Supporting the wider finance team during periods of absence or increased workload
Although the role is primarily AP focused, thepany is genuinely progressive and open to offering study support (AAT or ACCA). There's real potential to grow within the business or the wider group.What's on offer:
