Our client is a Residential Developer / Contractor involved in the delivery to completion of a range of schemes in the £25M - £100M Range in and around Bristol, Birmingham and the North West.
To support their Senior Operations Management team” on a £35M High Rise Residential Project in Bristol, they now require an experienced “Senior Project Manager”, ideally with a Tier 1 Main Contracting / operational background to support the post contract Delivery phase of this scheme.
The role will involve approval and agreement of Design team selection & specialist sub Contractor’s proposals and monitoring and reporting of design variations to produce a clear audit trail during the project life cycle of schemes through to handover.
The ideal candidate will have aspects of the following profile / background.
* Commercial Main Contracting / Medium to Major Project background.
* Degree qualified with a Construction discipline
* Ability to drive cost savings via “Value Engineering” and to focus on Buildability and Commercial constraints in Design solutions.
* Understanding of Sustainability objectives and Lean Construction Technologies.
* Experience of complex High value residential developments.
* Experience of managing the design process through all RIBA Design Stages
* The individual must have the ability to take a holistic approach to the scheme and take total ownership of Design Solutions for your Project.
* NEC 3 accredited Project Management certificate.
* Experience of delivering projects across a range of tenures including low cost home ownership, rented, market sale housing, and commercial tenures.
* Can demonstrate a detailed and complete understanding of contract obligations which is complemented with a good working knowledge and experience of contract administration, including interim payments, design management, change control, quality management and final certification.
* Experience of successfully delivering projects and controlling time, cost and project quality and using various forms of procurement including OJEU, Frameworks, Development Agreements and Joint Ventures.
* An understanding of delivering “High Rise” residential development projects.
* Experience of successful engagement and working with development partners including Local Authorities, private developers, funders, grant making bodies and internal and external projects teams
Ideally, we are looking for someone with thorough knowledge of the development and construction process from inception and feasibility through to completion, handover and operation. You'll also need previous experience of delivering projects across a range of tenures including low cost home ownership, rented, market sale housing, and commercial tenures.
This is a key Operational role on this High Rise Residential Project in Bristol with travel as required and ambition and career development will be matched by Delivery within the role.
