Executive Director of Housing and Communities - Salary: £140k
As Executive Director of Housing and Communities be part of our exciting journey in continuing to make a real difference to Hull's residents and communities.
An integrated council-wide Customer Services strategy is delivering high levels of digital engagement with the council and an embedded partnership with the voluntary sector. Through commercial partnering, the directorate has repeatedly exceeded annual housing targets and is rightly proud of its record as a landlord, managing some 24,000 properties in the city and promoting improving high standards within the private sector. However, much remains to be done to support our residents and communities to thrive.
As the leader of the services which connect the council to our communities, this position requires an individual with a very strong commitment to engagement, partnership and teamwork, and also with the skills to manage a challenging portfolio of services with annual revenue and capital budgets which exceed £200m. The successful candidate will be a key part of the council's Senior Leadership Team and of Hull's wider community and will have the ability to drive forward the vital community and place-making agendas within Hull and our wider region.
If you think you're the right person to take on this exciting challenge, and if you have the ambition to make a really positive difference to a great city, then we'd love to hear from you.
We don't just want to know what you have done, we want to know who you are, what you stand for, and what you want to achieve.
