We are currently recruiting for a Telematics & Compliance Officer to join our team. As a Telematics & Compliance Officer, you’ll play a vital role in the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the Together Group’s fleet – a key enabler of essential housing services. Based within the in-house Fleet team, you will lead the day-to-day monitoring, analysis, and reporting of vehicle telematics data to improve driver behaviour, reduce costs, support regulatory compliance, and enhance service delivery to our tenants and customers. In this role you are able to work from our Blackburn, Halifax, or Wakefield offices.

Requirements
Outline of key responsibilities for the Telematics & Compliance Officer…
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the telematics system covering approximately 550 operative vehicles, ensuring accurate data capture and system uptime.
* Monitor vehicle and driver data to spot trends, identify risks (speeding, harsh driving, idling), and support early intervention where required.
* Produce clear and consistent reports on fuel use, route efficiency, driver behaviour, and vehicle performance for operational leads and senior management.
* Work with Managers and Coordinators to feed insights into driver performance reviews and improvement plans.
* Support development of dashboards or tools that help teams access relevant data easily and act on it.
* Track and report on fleet compliance including MOTs, inspections, servicing schedules, off hiring Insurance and defect reporting, helping reduce risk and avoid missed deadlines.
* Support the Fleet team and liaise with external providers to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues, breakdowns, and incident-related repairs.
* Provide accurate telematics data to support insurance claims, accident reviews, and internal investigations.
* Help maintain a strong audit trail for compliance and ensure the organisation meets legal requirements and internal standards.
* Liaise with telematics providers, insurers, vehicle service partners, and system vendors to resolve issues and get the most from our systems.
We are looking for someone who has…
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
* Fleet-specific knowledge and any relevant qualifications are desirable to ensure the effective and successful delivery of this role.
* Experience managing or working with vehicle telematics systems (e.g., Webfleet, Masternaut, Geotab etc)
* Skilled in producing accurate reports and analysing data using Microsoft Excel and Word to drive performance improvements and service efficiency.
* Proven ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with operational and H&S standards.
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets to deliver meaningful insights.
* Ability to use IT applications (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI) and to interrogate data bases

* Starting salary of £33,097
* 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays

* You will work a total of 37 hours per week, scheduled between 08:00 and 19:30 across any five days from Monday to Saturday. The exact schedule will depend on business needs at the time. However, to give an idea, a typical working week may be Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00 and Friday from 08:00 to 15:30. Please note that this is subject to change based on business requirements.
