Job Description
Job purpose
To provide administrative support for the Centre manager and other members of staff in a Leisure Centre.
Responsibilities
* Deal effectively with enquiries in person and by telephone, and routine correspondence including scheduling and managing appointments, bookings and diaries.
* Set up appointments as instructed and take minutes of site-based meetings.
* Develop and maintain accurate financial, statistical and information records, filing systems and inventories in an organised and effective manner.
* Process daily cashing up in accordance with the LCC financial regulations.
* Assist with monitoring and production of performance reports on Section performance indicators and Service Delivery Plans.
* Produce transactional reports using the Leisure Management System.
* Assist with the development and maintenance of databases, Microsoft Office and e-mail documents to high standards of accuracy and presentation.
* Cover reception on an ad hoc basis.
* Participate in staff development.
* Carry out all duties in accordance with council policies including equal opportunities, financial regulations and health and safety.
Qualifications
* Essential requirements: Ability to communicate with a wide group of people individually, in groups, face to face and by telephone.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and demonstrate good organisational skills.
* Ability to proofread and check documents for accuracy.
* Ability to record accurate information, both numerically and alphabetically.
* Ability to type accurately and use Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
* Experience in data input and working in an administrative environment.
* Knowledge of IT systems and filing methods.
