Following continued growth DKR Rural Planning is on the look-out for a commercially minded, personable Senior Planner or Planner.
We are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified member of staff to work on existing projects and pipeline work.
The successful candidate will work on a broad range of planning projects, using their knowledge to plan and deliver projects in a timely and professional manner, across East Anglia, and further afield across the UK.
Based in our Bury St Edmunds office with flexible Working. In-office working will be expected initially, with increased home-working thereafter.
Key Role Responsibilities
* Conduct research site appraisals and site visits on projects for existing and potential clients;
* Preparing Fee Quotes;
* Prepare and submit reports and statements and carry out on‑going negotiations for planning applications and appeals - large and small, and of varying complexity;
* Manage all other planning matters associated with all stages of the planning process;
* Maintain and develop on‑going client relationships and co‑ordinate specialist services relating to your projects; and
* Working closely with the wider planning team, to maintain consistent company output.
Candidates are Required To
* Have a relevant qualification (Degree or Masters in Planning) with at least 3 years' experience;
* Have the capacity to work autonomously and take the lead on allocated projects;
* Possess strong project management skills;
* Have the capacity to work autonomously and take the lead on allocated projects;
* A demonstrable history of producing and submitting high‑quality reports in a timely fashion;
* Be confident in working with minimal supervision and using initiative;
* Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral; and
* Positively contribute to the companies wider aims of objectives.
