Maintenance Manager (Multi-Skilled)

Mon-Thurs: 08:00 - 17:00
Fri: 08:00 - 14:00 (early finish!)
39.5 hours per week
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to join a growing and forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Oldbury. Operating at the cutting edge of manual and robotic wet paint applications, this company supports a diverse client base across sectors including automotive, defence, medical, and consumer goods.
Due to continued growth and internal restructuring, the business is strengthening its engineering function and is looking for a driven leader to take ownership of maintenance operations across two sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all planned and reactive maintenance activities
Own and develop the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule
Deliver and oversee engineering projects from concept through to completion
Provide regular reports on monthly engineering performance and objectives
Drive improvements in equipment performance and overall site efficiency
Ensure Health & Safety standards are consistently met and maintained
Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across the business
Engineering Expertise
Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background
Ability to confidently read and interpret technical drawings
Experience in fault finding on pumps, motors, and related systems
Knowledge of pneumatics and fluid logic systems
Background in automotive or paint processes (highly desirable)
Experience with ABB robotics (advantageous but not essential)
Leadership & Management
Proven ability to manage projects and drive improvements
Experience managing or using Excel-based PM systems
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Calm under pressure with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Committed to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
Additional Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Flexible approach, including:
Supporting across two sites when required
Occasional overtime and call-outs
Providing holiday/shift cover when needed
