Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Near Cambridge (specialist SEMH setting)
Salary: £20,000 – £22,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time (part-time considered)
The Role
The CatchUp Academy is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to support pupils aged 7–18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a TA, you’ll:

Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning
*
Support small groups (4–6 pupils) and 1:1 sessions
*
Help adapt resources and learning activities
*
Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
*
Contribute to outdoor learning and wellbeing programmes
This TA role requires patience, creativity and resilience. Experience with SEMH or SEND is desirable, but training will be provided.
The School Setting
You’ll be based in a specialist school with small classes, modern facilities, and excellent outdoor learning areas. As a TA, you’ll be central to creating a supportive, therapeutic environment where every child can succeed.
Location
Situated near Cambridge, with good road links from surrounding towns.
