Job Title: Night Marina Operative Location: Noss on Dart Marina

Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Night Marina Operative to join a dedicated and friendly marina team. This role is key in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for berth holders and visitors, with a strong focus on customer service, safety, and operational awareness.

You will be working largely independently during night hours, conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, and ensuring the safety of boats and the wider marina environment. Training will be provided where needed, and you will be supported to grow your skills and reach your full potential.

Key Responsibilities Security & Safety

Carry out regular patrols of the marina, pontoons, and boatyard.
Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to any unusual activity.
Manage access to secure areas and uphold site security protocols.
Conduct safety checks, including identifying hazards, checking moorings, and ensuring vessels are secure.
Attend boats with triggered alarms — including resetting alarms where required.Customer Service

Provide excellent customer service to berth holders and visitors.
Offer assistance on the pontoons, ensuring boats are safely and correctly tied up.
Maintain calm, helpful, and professional communication at all times.General Duties

Complete logs, reports, and basic computer‑based tasks.
Operate marina equipment and follow operational procedures.
Support the wider site team when required.Skills & Experience Required Essential

Proven background in customer service or working in a customer‑facing role.
A positive, proactive “can‑do” attitude.
Ability to work confidently both alone and as part of a team.
Able to remain calm under pressure and respond to incidents effectively.
Ability to learn and use computer software and reporting systems.
Practical ability to tie off a boat safely (or willingness to learn).
Ability to swim.Preferred (but not essential)

Previous experience in a marina, security, or night‑shift operational role.
Basic boating or marine knowledge — particularly useful for safety and decision-making.Full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Working Pattern
12‑hour night shifts (typically 7pm–7am).
4 days on / 4 days off rota.
Some weekends and Bank/Public Holidays included.
Occasional limited daytime shifts may be required.Benefits
