Your new role
As Environmentalpliance Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to genuinely shape thepliance landscape of a large group withplex supply chain networks. You’ll work closely with an internal auditor, departmental heads, and a wide range of suppliers and stakeholders.
This is a new position, created due to increasing environmental reporting requirements, sustainability expectations, and ongoing business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing and enhancingpany wide environmental policies and procedures
2. Supporting internal audits and working closely with the in house auditor
3. Managing expanding reporting obligations: energy, GHG, carbon reduction plans, and supplier data
4. Coordinatingpliance with: Tax, accreditations and regulations
5. Supporting tender responses
6. Working with sustainability partners such as the Woodland Trust (including carbon capture initiatives and planting days)
7. Potential future line management as the team grows
What you'll need to succeed
8. Proven experience in environmentalpliance within a manufacturing or similar materials based environment
9. Knowledge of FSC/PEFC, timber regulations, EPR or similar frameworks
10. Strong understanding of sustainability reporting, GHG, or energypliance
11. The ability to grow with the business, bringing both expertise and ambition
12. Confidentmunication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across departments
13. Backgrounds within paper, packaging, manufacturing, or distribution (Preferred)
