We are looking for an experienced electro mechanical engineer for a 3‑month contractor placement inside IR35. You will assemble and test intricate hardware and work closely with the flight team to design, build, and accurately test systems.
Responsibilities
* Assemble and test intricate hardware.
* Work closely with flight team members to design, build, and accurately test systems.
* Provide design input to ensure accurate assembly of aerospace hardware.
* Select and input integration‑specific materials such as adhesives.
* Develop operational procedures for assembly activities.
* Ensure mechanical assembly and integration meet relevant standards and complete operational procedures.
* Collaborate with electrical engineers to assemble flight electronics (training provided).
* Work with systems engineers to produce test and qualification plans and procedures.
* Run in‑vacuum performance tests on propulsion systems.
* Perform inspections and quality checks on flight parts and components.
* Conduct environmental testing campaigns on flight hardware.
* Conduct acceptance tests on newly built products.
Qualifications
* A background in aerospace or space engineering is required.
