We are now seeking an Estimator with proven experience in passive fire protection. This person will be heavily involved in the tendering process, from reviewing drawings and specifications to producing accurate cost estimates, ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations along the way. Reviewing FRA actions and costing. Producing schedule of rates breakdown for use in Framework and day to day. They must be highly numerate, detail-focused, and commercially astute, with the ability to interpret technical documents and liaise confidently with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Freelance and or part time can be considered.

Responsibilities
* Review tender documents, technical drawings, specifications, and site survey data to determine project requirements.
* Reviewing FRA actions and costing
* Prepare accurate cost estimates, covering labour, materials, equipment, and risk factors, to be used for frameworks
* Produce pricing schedules, and work closely with BD team for tender submissions.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather information and obtain competitive quotes.
* Ensure all proposals comply with relevant UK fire safety standards (e.g., BS 476, BS EN 1364).
* Provide value engineering options to improve cost efficiency without compromising compliance/quality.
* Maintain estimating databases and ensure all deadlines are met.
* Support with the develop of pricing models, and refine estimating processes.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience as an estimator within the passive fire protection industry; awareness of active systems is desirable.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
* Proficiency in Office 365 (especially Excel) and CRM software.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulations.
* Excellent communication skills, able to liaise confidently and professionally with clients and suppliers.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
* Commercial awareness and experience in competitive tendering.
* Communication skills to build relationships and present proposals clearly.
* Drive and adaptability to work in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
