GSL Education are hiring an engaging History Teacher to work in schools across Sheffield (S2, S3), delivering lessons that inspire curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking. As History Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured History lessons, supporting pupils in analysing sources, understanding key events, and developing strong research and writing skills within a positive and inclusive classroom environment. What you’ll be doing as History Teacher: Deliver well-planned History lessons aligned with curriculum expectations Encourage enquiry, debate, and independent thinking Support pupils in analysing evidence and historical perspectives Maintain positive classroom behaviour and an organised learning environment Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback What we’re looking for: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching History in a school setting Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What’s in It for You?
