Marshall Drilling are seeking to recruit a Lead Rotary Driller (Geotechnical) to add to our site operations team, delivering work to cleints both nationwide and locally. Ideal applicants will have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the role, an in date CSCS card, NVQ Level 2 Land Drilling.
The suitable candidate must be able to pass a fit for work medical along with a drugs and alcohol screening.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Acting as a Lead Driller operating Comacchio rotary rigs.
* Adhere to best working practices and industry standards.
* Adhere to working instructions as specified by both the comapny and on site client.
* Provide paperwork, namely timesheets, equipment inspection sheets and drilling logs on a weekly basis.
* Communicate with the companies cleint during on site activities.
* Maintain vehicles, plant and equipment to the highest standard during site use.
* Communicate with internal parties for project assistance.
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
* Post holder will be expected to attend and pass internal and industry recognised external training courses. These may include but not limited to, CSCS, PTS, CCNSG, NPORS & CPCS tracked dumper and telehandler, First Aid, LANTRA off road driving.
* Maintenance of ground investigation plant, equipment and tools
* Competent lead drilling with rotary and windowless sampling drilling operations.
* Familiar with conventional coring systems (T6-116, T6-H, T2-101).
* Familiar with wireline coring systems (Geobor-s) up to depths of 100m
* Familiar with Comacchio rotary rigs, models 205, 305, 405 & 602.

The role is based from our yard in Westbury, Wiltshire. You must reside within a 2 hour commute from here.
A new Ford Ranger company vehicle is provided with the position, this can be used for commuting. All lead drillers have their own vehicle and are not require to change between vehicles.
All lead drillers, where possible, are allocated their own drilling rig and equipment.
* Overtime available Per Annum is in range of £6000 - £12000.
* 23 days paid annual holiday plus bank holidays.

We are also recruiting for a Cable Percussion Driller. Experience in this role would also be beneficial .
