Would you like to be part of an exciting opportunity in the setting up of a brand new autism consultation pathway in North Lincolnshire. Are you passionate about ensuring patients receive high quality support which is autism informed. If so, this post might be for you.
We are looking to recruit a permanent Band 7 Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic and highly motivated to join our Neurodiversity Directorate. You will support our mental health wards and community pathways by offering specialist case supervision and consultation. There will be opportunities to offer training to staff and support with organisational change.
Main duties of the job
To jointly set up and operationalize a new specialist consultation pathway on the Mental Health Wards and in Community Teams.
To support staff with giving consultation around their clinical caseload including complex and high risk cases.
To give advice and guidance around autism informed assessments, formulations and treatment plans.
To participate in multidisciplinary case review meetings/CTR/case conferences to discuss patient progress, risk and/or to support the planning of treatment and safe discharge.
To support with helping our wards and services become more autism friendly by providing advice and guidance around reasonable adjustments and organisational change.
Provide specialist autism training to colleagues
Gather, analyse and evaluate the progress of the new consultation pathway

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* Registration with Health and Care Professions Council.
* Willingness to undertake post-graduate study relevant to service area
* Sensory Integration Training
* Leadership training
Experience
* Significant post registration experience with in mental health services/ neurodiversity
* Supervisory responsibility for staff.
* Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
* Experience of research, service evaluation and audit procedures.
* Experience of a range of mental health settings and varied aspects of practice
* Experience of delivering training
* Experience of offering consultation to staff members
