My client is a dynamic Executive search firm connecting the world’s leading private equity companies with board-level leadership. They align with their clients across the full investment lifecycle, from the earliest stages of due diligence through years of value‑creation. Across rapidly evolving, high‑growth industries they have curated a network of C‑suite executives to deliver a competitive edge in the deal market and drive long‑term investment outperformance.

* Top performer in the business will do $4 million in fees this year
* Average fee size of $180,000
* Currently 30+ searches live for C‑level roles

* Company going into next stage of growth, building out dedicated practice areas including CFO and CTO/CPO practice


About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work in an established practice area, working with leading global PE funds. The role will be a hybrid role focussed on delivery into existing accounts and developing further relationships with PE funds. As an execution consultant you will play a pivotal role in delivering board and C‑suite retained search mandates for private equity and venture capital‑backed growth companies, as well as for mid‑to‑large cap public and private firms. This is a highly entrepreneurial position for an experienced headhunter who is looking to step up. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, driving leadership talent solutions and fostering deep, long‑term relationships with investors and portfolio companies.


Responsibilities

* Deliver end‑to‑end C‑suite and senior leadership search assignments, from client briefing through to successful placement.
* Advise board‑level and executive clients on leadership competencies, succession planning, team build‑outs post‑investment, and inclusive talent strategies.
* Manage multiple concurrent mandates, ensuring the highest standards of execution and client service.
* Assist practice leads with business development initiatives by nurturing and expanding existing client relationships, and identifying new opportunities within PE, VC, and portfolio company networks.
* Utilise a data‑driven approach to market mapping, talent intelligence, and candidate assessment.
* Contribute to company best practices and knowledge sharing, supporting the scale‑up of the practice and overall firm growth.
* Represent at industry events and through thought leadership initiatives.


Qualifications

* 2+ years of senior level recruitment / executive search experience
* Ideally demonstrated success delivering retained search mandates for PE/VC‑backed clients, family offices, and/or multinational public/private companies.
* Strong commercial acumen, with a consistent record of delivery and process management.
* Energetic, hands‑on, and highly collaborative approach; thrives in fast‑paced, high‑growth, entrepreneurial environments.
* Exceptional relationship‑building, influencing, and advisory skills at C‑suite and board level.
* Experience operating across the UK, EMEA, and US markets is highly desirable.
* Flexible and adaptable, with a track record of success in both boutique and established search environments.


Pay & Compensation

* Competitive base salary (indicative range: up to £65,000) and expected total compensation to be £150,000+ depending on performance.
