Associate Electrical Engineer – Birmingham £60,000 - £75,000 Hybrid Bonus Car Allowance National Consultancy Diverse Range of Projects A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join their MEP team in Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-profile design projects across multiple sectors while mentoring junior engineers and managing project teams. Role highlights: Lead electrical building services design across RIBA stages, from concept to detailed design Manage MEP design teams and oversee project delivery Mentor and support junior team members Liaise with architects, structural engineers, surveyors, and contractors Ensure all designs meet legislative and health & safety requirements Use CAD and Revit (BIM) software to develop system layouts and documentation Attend client meetings and represent the MEP discipline professionally What they’re looking for: Strong background in electrical building services design (consultancy or contractor side) Experience managing project teams and delivering quality work Accredited degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline Chartered or working towards IEng/CEng status Excellent communication, organisation, and client-facing skills Commercial awareness and understanding of risk in project delivery Projects include: Science and research, advanced manufacturing, motorsport, education, defence, commercial, and residential developments.
