Credit Controller
Colchester - Hybrid 2 days WFH
£28,000 - £32,000
9-5pm, parking on site, hybrid working (2 days WFH after training)
This is a newly created role to a restructure of the Finance department. You will report to the Financial Controller and be part of a Credit team of 6.
* Managing a ledger of 700+ accounts totally £1.6 million monthly
* Chasing outstanding debts by telephone, email, letter and portals
* Investigating and resolving invoice queries to ensure aged debtors are kept to a minimum
* Liaising with residents, relatives, social services, local authorities and solicitors
* Setting you new accounts to ensure correct details input and billing lines are set up correctly
* Ensuring Direct Debits are set up for customers payments where appropriate
* Cash allocation
* Reconciling accounts and requesting credit notes when needed
* Monthly ledger reviews with the manager to review problem accounts
Requirements
* Minimum of 2-3 years experience within Credit Control
* Excellent communications skills - ability to deal with individuals as well as businesses
* A strong work ethic and a desire to do well
* Good excel skills
