Own audit and assurance, risk management, incident learning, and HSEQ training. Provide leadership to the HSEQ Coordinator team and partner with Operations to deliver safe, compliant and efficient projects. IMS leadership & governance Own creation, control and continual improvement of IMS procedures, Project HSEQ Plans and work instructions, ensuring change control and communication prior to mobilisation. Ensure alignment to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, applicable legislation and customer requirements. Maintain document control and records in accordance with company policy. 2) Audit & assurance Plan and lead internal, supplier and customer audits based on risk and performance; ensure timely reporting with risk-ranked findings. Track and drive closure of nonconformities and observations within agreed SLAs; verify effectiveness of corrective actions. Support external certification and customer audits, acting as primary host and action owner. 3) Risk & operations Facilitate risk assessments (including HAZID) and method statements; verify controls are implemented and effective at project sites and facilities. Conduct planned inspections, behavioural observations and assurance tours; escalate significant risks and ensure prompt remediation. 4) Incidents & reporting Ensure accurate and timely reporting of hazards, near misses, nonconformities, accidents and incidents. Lead/coordinate investigations proportionate to severity; identify root causes and systemic issues; define corrective and preventive actions. Publish a monthly HSEQ performance dashboard with trends and learning content. 5) Training & culture Deliver HSEQ inductions, toolbox talks and targeted training; maintain competence matrices and statutory training records. Promote a proactive speaking-up culture and positive engagement with safety and environmental initiatives. 6) Continuous improvement Use Lean/CI tools (e.g., 5 Why, fishbone, A3) to drive improvements in quality, safety and environmental performance. Embed changes cross-functionally and verify benefits realisation. 7) People leadership Lead and develop HSEQ Coordinators: set objectives, coach, conduct performance reviews and succession planning. Role-model professional standards and constructive, assertive communication. 8) Stakeholder engagement Partner with Operations, Projects, Procurement and HR to integrate HSEQ into planning, supplier selection and delivery. Engage with customers on HSEQ expectations, performance and improvement opportunities. Objectives & KPIs (SMART) Reviewed quarterly unless stated otherwise; baselines to be confirmed at appointment. Audit programme ≥100% of planned audits completed per quarter. ≥95% of findings closed ≤30 calendar days; 0 overdue >60 days. Corrective actions (CAPA) health Median age of open CAPAs ≤20 days; backlog Training & competence Mandatory HSEQ training compliance ≥98%. New-starter HSEQ induction within 5 working days of start. Project readiness 100% Project HSEQ Plans approved prior to mobilisation. Education/Experience: Must have 5 years’ experience in HSEQ/QMS roles within services/projects or industrial environments. NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or degree in a Health & Safety/Environmental discipline. Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001 and at least one of ISO 14001/ISO 45001. Strong data and reporting skills (Microsoft 365, including Excel trend analysis and dashboards). Proven incident investigation and root cause analysis capability. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence across levels. Desirable Environmental Diploma or Quality Engineering degree (or substantial QMS experience). Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or demonstrable CI track record). Professional status: CMIOSH and/or CQP MCQI (or working towards within 12–18 months). Tools & Systems Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). ERP (e.g., Infor M3) and electronic QMS (e.g., Q-Pulse) — or similar. Incident/CAPA tracking tools and BI/reporting dashboards.
