ACS International School Cobham invites applications for a High School Economics and Business Teacher on a one‑year fixed‑term contract starting 1 August 2026.
Teaching Responsibilities
* Set high expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge students within a safe, inclusive learning environment built on mutual respect.
* Plan and deliver well‑structured, engaging lessons, adapting teaching to meet the strengths and needs of all learners.
* Promote strong student progress and outcomes through effective assessment and timely, meaningful feedback.
* Demonstrate secure subject knowledge and a clear understanding of the curriculum.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share high‑quality teaching and learning resources for students at different stages and abilities.
* Foster a genuine love of learning and intellectual curiosity in students.
* Provide targeted support for students requiring additional help, working closely with support staff to meet specific learning needs.
* Engage fully in professional development, remain up to date with requirements, and contribute to the Pastoral Care programme by supporting students’ day‑to‑day wellbeing, identifying concerns and working with the pastoral team and parents/carers as required.
* Contribute to the school’s extra‑curricular programme.
* Undertake other duties as required to support the smooth and effective running of the school.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor of Education.
* A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, teaching licence, certification or equivalent).
* AP and IBDP curriculum experience highly desirable and preferred.
* Strong IT skills, preferably with Apple products.
* Demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct.
* Significant experience and willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learning.
* Experience teaching in an international school desirable but not essential.
* Professional level of verbal and written English.
