We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Regulatory Compliance Team as a Housing Wellbeing and Resolution Officer. Your role: The successful candidate will act as a lead point of contact and case coordinator for residents experiencing issues related to poor housing conditions — including disrepair, damp and mould, and HHSRS hazards. This role will ensure complaints and concerns are handled promptly, compassionately, and in line with statutory obligations such as Awaab’s Law. The officer will work across departments to deliver joined-up, resident-focused solutions that prioritise wellbeing, safety, and long-term home standards. What you will need: The post holder will have experience in a housing, customer service, or resident engagement role, and experience of working directly with vulnerable people or in a resident-facing role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy and conflict resolution in essential, as well as strong organisational skills — able to manage multiple cases and coordinate across teams. You will have GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics as well as relevant training or qualifications in housing, complaints handling, customer service, or health and safety (e.g., CIH Level 3, HHSRS awareness)- or be willing to undertake this if successful.
